- Ohhdeer cushions. Done
- Talenthouse - Borns visual artwork. Done
- Doodle for Google - 5 homepage designs. (2 done so far)
- Topical illustrations - Proposing 5. Done 3 so far : Kanye, Kris, Beyonce. Mocked up on a mock-up website of what I want to do when I leave uni. This will be an ongoing project so it's a proposal.
- Threadless designs - an extension on Bowdown topical illustrations idea (need to figure out how many I can do) but this is where else I can take those topical illustrations from off my own site, and submit them to other sites to be sold too.
- Dicapricards - 5 cards on leonardo celebrating occasions. 2 Done so far
The *BIG KAHUNA* - Titanic zine. 30 pages rewriting the titanic with a humorous twist.
WHAT I ATTEMPTED:
I attempted a christmas jumper design for Talenthouse, missed the deadline
I attempted YCN Orchard Pig but got bored of it, I had the idea of Notorious P.I.G but didn't know how to use it for the brand, it didn't fit the aesthetic they have I think and I wasn't willing to adapt it to suit them.
What I read through and considered doing initially in my proposals:
House of illustration - Warhorse. Decided it just wasn't me, it wasn't funny.
Graphic Competitions - Chicago Film festival poster, Embracing our differences - Again not my kind of thing I was doing them for the sake of it at the time and it's not actually what my work is about.
WHAT IM ENJOYING MOST
WHAT IM ENJOYING MOST
- Dicapricards because they're current
- The titanic zine because it's ticking along beside everything else and keeping me entertained, and I can spend time on the illustrations
- Topical illustrations because again it's current I am researching current trends and thinking of ideas. It got me attention on Linkedin and by a radio station that have asked me to have a blog on their site of the stuff because it's so fresh.
WHAT I NEED TO RESEARCH
- More into the titanic storyline to try make it sound realistic but yet so silly that it's funny, peoples reactions and facts that sound absurd.
- More topical news to make illustrations off of.
- Card industry
- Whats selling on threadless
