To expand on the Threadless idea of Leonardo DiCaprio winning oscars I figured I could use some of those illustrations and add to them. I chose this as my BIG KAHUNA over doodle for google because this is something I believe I can stay interested in due to the humour of it and lightheartedness. I think it's current and I think that the doodle for google thing is limited in terms of funny ideas that would keep me entertained, I can get bored of it easily. This is something that can keep ticking away alongside everything else to keep me entertained. Plus I'm no expert at zines so I think it's gonna keep me busy, I want to spend a lot of time on each illustration.
Theres quite a lot of work involved as it's 30 pages long, 14 of which are illustrations and the rest I need to focus on humorous language.
As he is celebrating in the images I thought how can I create a narrative around that? I thought of being really cruel and showing him celebrating the Titanic sinking and leaving rose on the raft.
I want to recreate the story line as if Leonardo was actually not our heartthrob, but secretly evil and sank the ship purposely to kill off all of the rich people and steal their money.. leaving Rose in with the rich bunch to die in the water. The reason I think this would be current today is because there's so much trending about the relationship between Kate Winslet and Leonardo at the minute; between what a good friendship they have still today.
I've gathered up some imagery as reference that can help me create a narrative
So if you rotate the image of rose being on the board in the water, it can look like leo is on it and she's the one drowning - my thought process :
Leonardo goes up to the captain with some money he's stole out of rose's bag and says I will pay you to crash into that iceberg over there, to distract everyone so I can rob them when they're panicking and run outside to look at what's happening
Captain crashes a little TOO hard.. you weren't supposed to go that fast

What if it was day time? And the iceberg was clear to see, it wasn't an accident…

Feels like an absolute boss
Meanwhile ships still sinking and they're only offering out dinghys to those that have money $100 to be precise, which everyone has lost. Only Jack has enough money to get one. They said wait on this wooden raft and someone will come and collect you soon.
Oh forgot to mention he had met this bird rose whilst on the boat but turns out she had a fella so was a bit of a floozy
Anyway the cheeky sod tried to get on his board while he was waiting for the boat and made it rock.
Tries pushing her head under water saying you should have told me about your fella
Here she's struggling she's like Nooo don't drown me Jack
She dead, she's all drowned under water
Jack gets saved in a rescue dinghy with his money still in tact, and lives happily ever after off everyone else's money.
